Ashutosh Mishra Vice President, Sales, Aberdare Technologies
As vice-president, sales, at Aberdare Technologies Private Limited, Ashutosh Mishra plays a key role in driving the company’s growth and developing a robust business ecosystem. His responsibilities include introducing new products to the Indian market in line with global standards and exploring expansion opportunities globally.
With nearly 22 years of experience, Mishra has gained a comprehensive understanding of the telecom sector. Prior to joining Aberdare Technologies, he held key positions at several organisations, including BCH Electric Limited, Reychem RPG Limited, Microqual Techno Limited, Apar Industries Limited and West Coast Optilinks.
Mishra foresees a surge in global demand for optical fibre cables by 2025. “Telcos are increasing their focus on 5G-ready infrastructure, which requires the fiberisation of towers and other telecom infrastructure. Further, the growing data demand for new technologies is driving internet services providers to expand their fibre infrastructure. The global market is also showing promising trends in fibre demand, with Indian players setting up plants across the world. This trend will help the industry recover from the slowdown in the Indian market,” he says.
When asked about the challenges he faced, Mishra shares, “When I joined Aberdare Technologies in 2021, the main challenge was establishing a healthy ecosystem for the company, extending its reach across India, Southeast Asia, the EU and MENA countries. We have always focused on 360-degree improvement, ensuring a smooth, hassle-free platform”.
Mishra describes his management style as being rooted in consistency, conviction, integrity and hard work, with success as a byproduct.
Reflecting on his most memorable experience, Mishra highlights the establishment of a heathy ecosystem in India for Aberdare Technologies. “We are now planning to expand our business in the Indian market while increasing our global footprint,” he adds.
Mishra holds an MBA in marketing and international business. He enjoys biking, trekking, cooking, exploring new cuisines, singing, spending time with his children and playing tennis. He firmly believes that maintaining a healthy body and mind is essential for delivering productive results. “I encourage my team to invest their time in rejuvenating to perform better at work,” he says. He resides in Mumbai with his wife and two children. His daughter is pursuing her undergraduate degree, while his son is in high school.
