Enea has announced the certification of their dual-mode 5G Service Engine (5G-SE) as VMware Ready for telco cloud solution.

Enea’s 5G-SE helps communication service providers (CSPs) to create network capacity, improve subscribers’ quality of experience (QoE) through faster download speeds, monetise data traffic, prevent fraud and comply with regulatory requirements through a dual 5G-4G single service platform.

Commenting on the announcement, Osvaldo Aldao, chief product and technology officer, Enea, said, “Combining the Enea 5G Service Engine with the VMware telco cloud platform offers significant advantages for CSPs, enabling a smooth transition from 4G and 5G non-standalone (NSA) to 5G standalone (SA) while ensuring best-in-class network performance and monetisation services. The certification with VMware telco cloud platform signifies that the solution has undergone extensive conformance testing, ensuring seamless compatibility and excellence.”

The expanded partnership, which now includes VMware’s Ready for telco cloud certification, confirms Enea’s 5G-SE container network function (CNF) readiness for scalable carrier-grade deployment and agile lifecycle operation with VMware telco cloud platform.

Meanwhile, Sidd Chenumolu, head, product management, software-defined edge division, Broadcom, said, “VMware Telco Cloud’s goal is software transformation of the telco network, delivering telco at cloud native speed. The Enea 5G Service Engine is an essential element of transformation for mobile telecom enabling the delivery services to manage and improve subscriber experience across both 4G and 5G access paths. We are excited to add Enea 5G-SE to our telco cloud marketplace.”
