The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Indian government have reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to double the total capacity of the data centres in India.
The MoU was signed by both the counties in February 2024 aimed at co-developing sovereign artificial intelligence (AI).
As per the agreement, G42, Abu Dhabi would build up to two gigawatt Al-ready data centres in India. G 42 is supported by Emirati sovereign wealth fund Mubadala. The company also launched NANDA, a 13-billion parameter AI model trained on 2.13 trillion tokens in Hindi and English. NANDA has been trained on Condor Galaxy, an AI supercomputer for training and inferencing built by G42 in collaboration with Cerebras.
