Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that it has built over 15,000 4G sites as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

This milestone follows BSNL’s announcement of building 10,000 4G sites in early July 2024. According to reports, BSNL plans to deploy 80,000 towers, with the remaining 21,000 sites expected to be deployed by March 2025.

BSNL has been promoting its tariffs as affordable alternatives and inviting users to switch to its network. The telco is also running various campaigns to facilitate the porting process from other operators. Further, BSNL is urging users to switch their 2G/3G SIM cards to 4G-enabled SIM cards for free.
