Bharti Airtel has launched its 4G services in Shillong, the first city for its service rollout in the North-east. As part of the trail offer, the Airtel customers in Shillong will be able to avail a complimentary upgrade to 4G services at 3G prices.
The company had started the testing of its 4G services in Shillong in May 2015 and is emphasising on this process to remove all issues before the facility is introduced across the region. In order to expand its customer base, Airtel has also announced “go-to-market partnerships” with Samsung and Flipkart for 4G devices.
