
Karbonn Mobiles is planning to invest up to $3 million in startups to build an ecosystem of apps and services for its consumers. These will be built into the company?s new portfolio of smartphones. The company is looking at startups in India and China. The move is expected to help the company regain its market share.
The company is also planning to invest Rs 8 billion to Rs 9 billion in setting up local manufacturing facilities, starting with assembly of devices.
