Sistema Shyam Teleservices, operating under the brand MTS India, reported a 24 per cent year-on-year increase in net losses for the quarter ended March 2015. Net loss rose from Rs 3.16 billion during quarter ended March 2014 to Rs 3.91 billion during the corresponding quarter in 2015. However, revenue rose from Rs 3.18 billion to Rs 3.57 billion during the same period, an increase of 12 per cent.

Meanwhile the contribution of non-voice services to the company?s revenue stood at 51.1 per cent as of March 2015. The growth in data revenue was driven primarily by increase in the data subscriber base and the expansion of high-speed data service footprint across nine circles.
