Bharti Airtel has posted financial results for the quarter ended March 2015. The operator has reported consolidated net profit of Rs 12.55 billion for the quarter ended March 2015, a growth of 30.5 per cent over Rs 9.62 billion earned during the quarter ended March 2014. Revenues for the operator grew from Rs 222.19 billion for the quarter ended March 2014 to Rs 230.16 billion for the same quarter in 2015, a growth of 3.6 per cent. Bharti Airtel?s consolidated mobile data revenues for the quarter ended March 2015 grew by 59.1 per cent on year-on-year basis to Rs 30.85 billion. The growth in data service revenue was driven by higher data usage and robust customer growth.
Further, the company?s net profit grew by 86.9 per cent to Rs 51.83 billion for the 2014-15 from Rs 27.73 billion in 2013-14. Meanwhile, the company?s total revenues for 2014-15 grew by 7.3 per cent to Rs 920.39 billion as against Rs 857.46 billion in the preceding year. Further, at the end of March 2015, the operator?s net debt stood at Rs 668.41 billion.
Bharti Airtel?s consolidated capital expenditure for 2015 stood at Rs 186.68 billion. The operator?s forex losses for 2014-15 stood at Rs 21.53 billion as compared with Rs 12.42 billion in 2014. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel?s net interest cost declined by Rs 9.03 billion from Rs 35.95 billion in 2014-15 to Rs 26.93 billion in 2015.
