Storage and networking solutions provider Brocade Communications Systems plans to invest $300 million in India over the next five years. The investment is aimed at driving innovation in the company?s networking product portfolio and services.

With the new investment commitment, the cumulative investment by Brocade in India will total $700 million by 2020. With a growing focus on the Indian market, the company has also set up a new research and development (R&D) centre in Bengaluru. The R&D centre is part of the $400 million investment that Brocade has already made in India to date, since the company started its operations in the country in 2006.  As part of its expansion plans in India, Brocade recently acquired start-ups ? Vistapointe and Connectum.
