Google Inc is reportedly in early stages of talks to buy Bangalore-based start-up InMobi.

Established in 2007, InMobi is a mobile advertising network and claims to have over 1 billion users across 200 countries. The company?s key investors include SoftBank and venture capital firm Sherpalo.

Google?s move to acquire InMobi is aimed at strengthening its offerings in the competitive mobile advertising space. The move is also seen as a strong step towards challenging Facebook?s dominance in mobile advertising space.
