Vodafone India has awarded a wireline network contract worth $150 million to China-based Huawei Technologies. As per the deal, Huawei will upgrade and augment the wireline network capacity of Vodafone across the country. This would, in turn, enable the operator to handle the increasing data traffic on its network.
Further, the transformation in its wireline network will help Vodafone support its enterprise services and also allow it to offer new data-based services to its customers. Further, the network upgrade will help the telecom operator reduce its operating expenditure.
