Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has awarded a contract to Finland-based telecom equipment company, Nokia Networks for upgrading its 3G network to High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA+) technology in the Karnataka, Haryana and Punjab circles. Under the contract, Nokia Networks will provide the telecom company with its Flexi Multi-radio ten base transceiver station (BTS) with HSPA+ technology and radio network controllers. Also, it will use the Flexi Lite BTS for enhancing TTSL?s network coverage in the densely populated regions in these circles.

Further, TTSL will use Nokia Networks’ NetAct network management system for monitoring and managing its network. Along with this, Nokia Networks will provide its network planning, optimisation and project management services along with hardware and software support to the telecom operator for smoother operations on its network.
