Airtel has partnered with Ericsson to deploy 4G network at Seychelles in Africa. The network, however, has not been commercially launched as of now. The network, which is expected to cover 10,000 4G subscribers in the first phase, will be Airtel?s first 4G network in Africa.
The agreement between Ericsson and Airtel includes implementation of software and support services, installation of multi-standard radio base station equipment and upgradation of existing 2G and 3G access network software.
