Vodafone India has launched its 2G and 3G services in Lachung, Sikkim. The operator claims to be the first private telecom operator to launch its services in Lachung.
With this expansion, the operator has now covered more than 91 percent of population in Sikkim and 93.5 per cent in Rest of Bengal Circle.
Vodafone has so far deployed almost 181 cell sites across the state and a total of 7,150 sites across the Rest of Bengal Circle.
The Rest of Bengal circle for Vodafone covers two states ? West Bengal (excluding Kolkata) and Sikkim ? spanning across more than 36,400 towns.
