Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL), which provides telecom services under the MTS brand, is planning to launch a smart-device called Mblaze Power Wi-Fi, which can act both as a battery charger and a Wi-Fi dongle-cum-router. The company plans to offer the product in post-paid format at Rs 2,999 and prepaid at Rs 3,499.
Mblaze Power Wi-Fi will be powered by a 5,200 mAh battery that can fully charge a smartphone up to three times and has the capacity to provide hi-speed internet to six devices simultaneously. The dongle operates on the MTS 3GPlus network and can deliver speed of up to 14.7 Mbps. Further, it will address the issue of high battery consumption of smartphones due to high usage of data services.
The dongles allow users to connect through Wi-Fi to share documents, songs, videos and pictures etc. Users can also store up to 32 GB data on the device using the micro-SD memory card slot.
