Uninor has appointed Tanveer Mohammad as its new chief operating officer (COO). He joins the Telenor Group?s Indian team from Bangladesh, where he was serving as the chief technology officer (CTO) at Grameenphone, the Group?s operating company in Bangladesh.
Mohammad brings with him more than 17 years of operational, development and corporate experience in the telecom Industry. He joined Grameenphone as a system engineer in 1997 and has played a key role in building the technology division of the organisation while progressing through various leadership roles. He eventually took up the role of CTO of Grameenphone in 2010.

Mohammad replaces Ruza Sabanovic, who will now take up the position of the Head of Group Technology at Telenor Group?s headquarters in Oslo. In this position, Sabanovic will drive the network and IT transformation agenda across Telenor Group companies in Europe and Asia.
