Aircel aims to achieve break-even in Kolkata and West Bengal circles by 2014-15. The revenue growth in these circles is expected to be largely driven by increasing consumption of 3G data services and traditional voice services by users.

In its efforts to boost revenues, Aircel is focusing on increasing the voice-based rate per minute (RPM) realisation by 12 per cent over the next one year. At present, revenue from voice accounts for 85 per cent of the operator?s revenues and the 15 per cent of the revenue is contributed by data and other value added services.

Aircel is expecting a growth of 35 per cent in data revenue in Kolkata and West Bengal circles by 2014-15. To net in more data users, Aircel has extended the 3G trial scheme ?Aircel Morning? both these circles. The scheme offers unlimited free 3G access to users between 6:00 am and 9:00 am for a month.
