Intelligent Energy and Microqual Techno Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide telecom infrastructure using equipment mounted on existing power transmission towers in India.
Microqual has the rights to use Power Grid Corporation of India’s transmission tower infrastructure assets and other state transmission companies spread across Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Microqual has access to 85,000 towers.
The companies plan to work with service providers to map their expansion plans to the geographies where transmission towers exist. Intelligent Energy and Microqual Techno Limited will help companies deploy power transmission towers.
