Idea Cellular has posted its results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2013.

The company has registered an 8.6 per cent sequential quarterly growth in the period under consideration.

For the 2012-13 financial year the operator?s gross revenues stood at Rs 225.94 billion, an annual growth of 14.8 per cent. This growth is attributed to an 8.5 per cent increase in voice minutes, to 143.4 billion, on a sequential quarterly basis.

Moreover, for the period under consideration, Idea Cellular?s average realised rate per minute was nearly flat at 41.2p against 41.1p in the third quarter of financial year 2013.

Also, revenues from non-voice services accounted for 15.2 per cent of overall revenues. In comparison, these services accounted for 14.6 per cent of overall revenues in the third quarter of financial year 2013.

The company added 4.5 million data customers in the period under consideration. Data services currently account for 6.6 per cent of the company?s service revenues.

The volume of data increased by 13.8 per cent, to 11.4 billion MB and the data realised rate increased by 9.5 per cent to 33.9p per MB.

The company?s active 3G subscriber base stood at 5.1 million. This boosted overall growth in 2G and 3G data revenue on a sequential quarterly basis by 24.6 per cent. ARPU from data services reached Rs 55.

Consequently, the company?s EBITDA has reached Rs 15.037 million.

Annual EBITDA has increased to Rs 53.71 billion in financial year 2013, compared to Rs 45.15 billion in financial year 2012.

The standalone profit after tax (PAT) for the period under consideration stood at Rs 2.67 billion. The company?s annual PAT increased by 67 per cent to Rs 10.08 billion in financial year 2013, compared to Rs 6.03 billion in financial year 2012. Meanwhile, the company?s cash profit stood at Rs 46.96 billion in financial year 2013, a 30.2 per cent increase over the previous financial year.
