Tata Communications has launched a high definition voice service which permits mobile operators to route such calls via an end-to-end internet protocol (IP) platform.

Tata Communications? network is connected to 210 mobile operators via the IP voice interconnect technology and 26 of these operators can support this service on their networks. Four operators have already deployed high-definition voice on their network.

Commenting on the launch, Michel Guyot, president, global voice solutions, Tata Communications, says, ?We will leverage our community of IP-connected mobile network operators to quickly enable high-definition voice calls between the widest possible range of destinations, maximising the benefits of premium call quality for our partners and their end users.?
