Sony Mobile Communications has introduced XperiaTM ion in India.
Sony XperiaTM ion runs on Google Android 4.0 (ICS) operating system. It has 4.6 inch high definition (HD) reality display screen. It offers 16 GB internal storage. It comes with 1GB RAM and a MicroSD card which is expandable up to 32GB. The smartphone packs in 12 megapixel AF rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. It supports HSPA, EDGE/GPRS and Wi-Fi and bluetooth. The smartphone is available in black and red colour. It is priced at Rs 36,999.
The HD smartphone offers free data usage to Airtel subscribes. Airtel users buying the new smartphone will get 500 MB of free 3G data per month for three months and 200 minutes of mobile TV free for a period of two months.
