Lava Mobile is pulling out all stops to consolidate its position in the Indian handset market.
As a step in this direction, the company plans to invest Rs 0.55 billion in research and development (R&D) to strengthen its product portfolio.
In terms of new products, the company plans to launch a tablet PC by August this year. The tablet PC would be priced below Rs 10,000 will have a seven inch capacitive touchscreen, 1.2 GHz processor, and 4 GB internal and 16 GB external memory. The company will also launch two smartphones by September this year. The smartphones will be priced between Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000.
