.The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) has said that it is cooperating with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)?s probe with regard to the 2G spectrum issue, according to news reports. The company?s officials have been questioned by the investigators.
In astatement, the company said, ?As part of this process, the CBI has also examined a few officials of Reliance ADA Group, and we are fully co-operating with the authorities in this regard.?
Earlier in the day, the group, in a separate statement, RCOM claimed to have identified stock brokers responsible for spreading ?baseless sensational charges? about the group that triggered a sell-off in the shares of six of its companies on Wednesday.
ADAG sought ?punitive interim orders? by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) against the identified entities for ?blatant violation? of capital market regulations.
ADAG said the stock brokers involved in what it described as manipulative bear activity against its companies spread rumours by using mass emails, short message services and voice calls. The group did not disclose the identity of the brokers.
