Parakh & Co, a Jaipur-based auditor who had examined the books of Reliance Communications as part of a government-ordered investigation, has complained to the Department of Telecommunications against the operator for the second time in six months.

The auditor, in its latest complaint, has sought urgent intervention from the DoT to restrain RCOM from adopting coercive tactics against it, and also withdraw proceedings against the firm at various forums .

The firm has also asked if they should share audit related information with the Mumbai police, which is investigating a criminal complaint from RCOM. The anti-extortion cell, crime branch, Navi Mumbai, had asked the company to submit all documents and records of the special audit it had undertaken on RCOM’s books. RCOM accused the audit firm of sensationalising the matter and of trying to derail the police probe.
