Loop Telecom has written to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for surrendering its National Long Distance (NLD) license.
As per provisions of the license agreement, the operator has to notify its subscribers and the DoT by giving a 30-and 60-day notice respectively. Loop has, however, requested to waive off this condition as it was not providing the service.
Meanwhile, DoT has asked Loop to cough up the dues payable by it until the date on which the surrender of the license becomes effective.
