Zen Mobile aims to tap 3G services, increase marker share and revenues

New handheld player Zen Mobile has said it will launch 3G handsets in October and is also looking to increase its market share three-fold in this fiscal.

“We will launch at least two 3G handsets priced between Rs 3,500-Rs 5,000 in November this year. We will launch more 3G handsets in the future,” said Deepesh Gupta, Managing Director, Zen Mobile.

The company also aims to have a market share of 7-10 per cent from the present 2.5 per cent by FY 11. The company has already launched 18 models in the market. The company is also looking to garner at least Rs 5 billion in revenues revenue from both domestic and overseas markets by the end of this fiscal.
