US-based telecommunications service provider AT&T is planning to invest $1 billion in 2010 to upgrade its products and services, and expand its global network in India, China and Japan. In line with its global expansion plans, the company will deploy, upgrade and add diverse IPv6-capable multi protocol label switching nodes to support its Layer 3 virtual private network and globally managed internet services, which include gigabit Ethernet customer access.
AT&T will also install additional telepresence rooms in its Bangalore and Hinjewadi offices in India.
