Tata Communications has earmarked funds of around $200 million for developing and enhancing its telecom operations in the Middle East over the next two years. The company, along with its partners in the region –? Bahrain Internet Exchange, Nawras of Oman, Qatar Telecom, Saudi Arabia’s Mobily and UAE’s Etisalat –? intends to build the Tata Global Network Gulf project, which will support a portfolio of telecom services such as global Ethernet, multi-protocol label switching-based virtual private network as well as infrastructure-as-a-service.
