
Bharti Airtel and RCOM are planning to launch online mobile application stores to increase their revenues from value-added services such as music and social networking. Bharti Airtel intends to provide over 1,250 applications across 25 categories including games, books and social networking. RCOM is planning to launch an initial version of its applications store for GSM customers by end-February 2010, while an expanded version will be launched by March for both its GSM and CDMA customers.
