TTSL has become the top operator in terms of monthly subscriber additions. It added 3.3 million subscribers (CDMA and GSM) in December 2009. With this, TTSL has overtaken BSNL to become the fifth largest operator in the country in terms of subscriber numbers with over 57 million subscribers as of December 2009. Earlier, Idea Cellular had replaced BSNL in the fourth position.
