ZTE Corporation has announced plans to work with Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) to carry out long term evolution (LTE) trials in the Philippines in conjunction with SingTel affiliate Globe Telecom. The two companies reportedly intend to work together to develop long-term plans for LTE network infrastructure projects as well as strategic management of the network.
Under the tie-up, ZTE and SingTel will conduct a sixto ninemonth trial, starting in early 2010, to assess market demand for broadband access services.
