Unitech Wireless has awarded GSM network deployment contracts to Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and ZTE Corporation. The vendor will provide services ranging from network implementation, operations and management for the operator’s rollout in six circles including Gujarat and Maharashtra. The network will be built using NSN’s Flexi BTS platform, which is 3G and long term evolution (LTE) compatible. ZTE’s contract involves the vendor providing GSM systems and core network equipment for five years across the Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana circles.
