DoT has sought TRAI’s recommendations on its proposal to introduce a uniform licence fee structure. DoT is considering imposing a uniform licence fee of 8.5 per cent of the annual gross revenue of the operator. The proposal follows reports of operators transferring their revenues from services that attract higher licence fees to those that call for lower licence fees.
