Alcatel-Lucent has been awarded a multi-million euro contract by Saudi Telecom Company to expand and upgrade its existing broadband network to serve an additional 2 million residential and enterprise customers by end-2010.

Alcatel-Lucent has been awarded a multi-million euro contract by Saudi Telecom Company to expand and upgrade its existing broadband network to serve an additional 2 million residential and enterprise customers by end-2010. According to the contract, Alcatel-Lucent will provide its packet optical transport solution for DSLAM traffic aggregation and Ethernet business services along with its DSL and GPON/MSAN technology. It will also leverage its service expertise in project management, network analysis, software integration, integration services and technical support services to deliver a turnkey services solution.
