Thailand-based operator CAT Telecom is in the process of finalising a deal with Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) to get complete control over their joint venture (JV), Hutchison CAT Wireless Multimedia (HCWM), by end-2009.

Thailand-based operator CAT Telecom is in the process of finalising a deal with Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) to get complete control over their joint venture (JV), Hutchison CAT Wireless Multimedia (HCWM), by end-2009.

HCWM offers CDMA-based mobile services in 25 central provinces of the country, while CAT CDMA is the state-owned company’s wholly owned CDMA business operating across the rest of the country, which is being upgraded to 3G EV-DO technology.
