Indonesia-based telecom service provider Bakrie Telecom is reportedly considering both mergers and acquisitions as options for growth next year. The company, which owns the Esia brand of wireless communications services, is planning new expansion initiatives in the face of increasing market competition. Earlier, in October 2008, the operator stated that it was looking to offload stake in several of its subsidiaries to settle around $1.2 billion of debt.
