Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has launched IPTV broadcasting services following delays caused by slow rollout of the ADSL2+ technology. The deployment of IPTV is based on UTStarcom’s Rolling Stream platform. SLT’s wholly owned subsidiary Visioncom has already invested approximately $1 million in the initial launch of its TV-over-ADSL system to support approximately 100,000 subscribers over the next two years.
