CAT Telecom has signed a contract worth $59 million with technology provider Marubeni (Thailand) to build a 9,000 km fibre optic backbone network linking all regions of Thailand. The deal has been signed despite the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) questioning its transparency. The operator, however, claims that it has already clarified the queries raised by the OAG.
