Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) companies RCOM and AAA Communications have filed caveats in the Bombay High Court in order to ensure that no ex parte order is issued in case Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) attempts to access its claimed right of first refusal in the RCOM-MTN deal. (AAA Communications is ADAG’s investment arm and holds 63 per cent of ADAG’s 66 per cent stake in RCOM.) The move comes in the wake of RIL threatening to claim right of first refusal over selling of a majority stake in RCOM as part of a possible merger deal with South Africa’s MTN.
