Grameenphone, the Bangladesh-based subsidiary of Norwegian Telenor, has signed a deal with Huawei to develop its telecom infrastructure at a cost of $600 million.

Grameenphone, the Bangladesh-based subsidiary of Norwegian Telenor, has signed a deal with Huawei to develop its telecom infrastructure at a cost of $600 million. According to the terms of the deal, Huawei will build a nationwide GSM softswitch core network and a radio network for Grameenphone in the high traffic areas of Bangladesh including Sylhet and the capital city of Dhaka.
