The government has allowed Bharti Airtel and RCOM to provide IPTV services. The move comes after the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting accepted TRAI’s recommendation to allow broadcasters to transmit their feeds via the IPTV platform. Under current regulations, broadcasters are allowed to provide TV signals only via cable or the DTH platform.
