Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) will invest Rs 10 billion for rolling out Wi-Max services in several cities. The investment is a part of the total capital expenditure of Rs 25 billion to be made by the company in financial year 2008-09. VSNL, which already runs a Wi-Max service for enterprises in Bangalore, has been allocated spectrum for another 50-60 cities. The company has roped in US-based equipment manufacturer Telsima for the supply of customer premises equipment and other equipment.
