Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has won a network technology order from Israel’s largest cellular operator, Cellcom Israel.

According to the contract, NSN will supply core and broadband fixed networks to Cellcom, which recently acquired licences to manage voice and data on fixed lines in Israel. The new system, based on SURPASS softswitch and hiX5625 multi-service access nodes, will allow Cellcom to offer fixed-mobile convergence services. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
