In a move to improve operational and cost efficiency, Nokia is planning to combine all its mobile phone groups into a single new business unit. Nokia products that were previously produced by three separate divisions ?? mobile phones, multimedia and enterprise solutions ?? will now be produced by a single unit called the Device unit. As part of the reorganisation, Nokia will also createtwo other divisions ?? Software & Services, and Markets ?? to replace its existing structure. The divisions will reportedly be launched in January 2008.
