Hutchison Whampoa has acquired 12 million shares in HTIL for $15.89 million.

Hutchison Whampoa has acquired 12 million shares in HTIL for $15.89 million. This move will increase Hutchison Whampoa’s stake in HTIL from 49.75 per cent to slightly over 50 per cent.

Following the purchase, HTIL has become a subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa as per listing rules.
