Pakistan telecom operators to invest $100 million to implement MNP -

Cellular phone operators in Pakistan are investing approximately $100 million to meet the October 2006 deadline set by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for implementation of mobile number portability (MNP). PTA has asked all cellphone operators and the Pakistan Telecommunication Company to expedite upgradation of their switches for early implementation of MNP.
