Kolkata-based internet service provider and software application developer Descon has entered into an agreement with RailTel Corporation for providing broadband internet and internet protocol virtual private network (IP-VPN) services in eastern and north-eastern India. Under the agreement, Descon will act as the franchisee of RailTel and also provide value-added services like voice over internet protocol (VoIP), video conferencing, web hosting, application management, mailing and system integration services.
