Taiwan-based telecom service providers announce their capex plans for 2006 -

Taiwan-based telecom service providers Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), First International Telecom (Fitel), Taiwan Mobile, Asia Pacific Telecom Group (APTG) and Vibo Telecom have announced their capital expenditure plans for 2006. CHT plans to invest NT$30 billion ($930 million), followed by Fitel with NT$7 billion, Taiwan Mobile with NT$6.5 billion and APTG with NT$5.8 billion, according to reports. Vibo has not yet revealed its total expenditure for the year, but has an outlaid NT$16 billion so far this year.
