For the fourth straight month, the state-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has beaten private cellular operators in getting new subscribers in both Delhi and Mumbai. In March, MTNL accounted for 63 per cent of the new GSM connections in Delhi and 46 per cent in Mumbai. During the month, it notched up 43,270 net additions in Delhi alone, compared to Bharti’s 24,000 and Hutchison’s 30,127.
