
Idea Cellular has released financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2014.
For the quarter-ended March 31, 2014, the operator has reported a net profit of Rs 5.89 billion, recording a jump of 91 per cent over Rs 3.08 billion earned in net profits during the corresponding quarter in 2013. Meanwhile, the company reported revenues worth
Rs 70.44 billion, a jump of over 16 per cent when compared to revenues of Rs 60.61 billion earned during the corresponding quarter in 2013.
Further, the operator?s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation for the quarter under review stood at Rs 22.30 billion.
For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014, Idea Cellular has reported total voice calls of 157.05 billion minutes and 2G and 3G data volumes reached 27.29 billion MB, indicating strong consumer demand for data services.
For the quarter under review, the company?s average revenue per user stood at Rs 173. As of March 31, 2014, Idea Cellular had a subscriber base of 137.9 million.
